Amber Valley Borough Council have published the latest draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for the Meadows Edge site.
You can find this on the internet by going to AVBC home page clicking on the ‘Land between the A6 and the River Derwent’ link in the list of ‘Quick Links‘ on the right of the page. At the bottom right of the new page under ‘Related Documents’ click on ‘Revised Draft SPD for land between A6 etc’ or on the link in the next to last paragraph of the text.
If you do not have access to the internet you can see a copy at the library or the AVBC cash office on King St.
A meeting for Belper Civic Forum members has been arranged to discuss our response to this latest draft. Even if you don’t have time to read the whole document please don’t let that put you off coming. Your input into the discussion is important. Tesco still have to submit their planning application and thus is it not too late for the Planning Guidance to influence their proposals. The news is unclear as to when their application might be made but it is likely to not be until the New Year.
The meeting is on Monday 23 November 2009 at Strutts Centre (former Herbert Strutt primary school) on Derby Rd. starting at 7.30pm. This is a members only meeting, but we welcome new recruits on the night.
