Our Annual General Meeting is to be held on Tuesday 1st April 2008 from 7pm-9pm at St. John’s Heritage Centre. Members will need to have renewed their subscriptions for 2008 in order to attend but you will be able to do this, or join for the first time, on the door. Please let the secretary have nominations for officers and committee members (see “Nominations”).

Saturday 8th September 11am-1.30pm (end). The Civic Forum is very concerned about the future of this high quality listed building when it ceases to be used as a school. Please use this opportunity to both see the building and express your views. Guided tours will be given. Organised as a part of the National Heritage Open Day Scheme.

Tesco organised an initial event to inform the public about its ideas for developments in Belper on the Meadows Edge. This event was held on 26th and 27th July at the Nailer’s Football Club. The club is away from the town centre and not everyone would have realised the event was taking place.
